Absentee Ballot Applications: A person must complete an Absentee Ballot application prior to receiving the actual Absentee Ballot. Absentee Ballot Applications are available by calling the District Clerk at 591-8501 or going to the District's website: http://www.irvingtonschools.org and clicking onto the Board of Education link or Budget Information link. Absentee Ballots are available for registered voters who will not be in Irvington on May 11, 2010. May 10, 2011 is the deadline to request an absentee ballot if ballot is to be mailed to the voter. May 16, 2011 is deadline to request an absentee ballot if the ballot is to be picked up by the voter. May 17, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. is the deadline for absentee ballots to be received by the District Clerk. Call the District Clerk's office at 591-8501 for further information.

Registration: To vote in Irvington School District (ISD) votes, you must be registered either with the School District or with the Westchester County Board of Elections. If not, you may register for school voting at District Clerk's Office at the Admin. Office 9AM to 3PM during regular school days, or register at the Special Voter Registration Day, Thursday, May 12, 2011, 4PM to 8PM in the lobby of the Main Street School. Qualifications to register: citizen of the United States;18+ years old; resident of ISD for at least thirty days before the vote. Anyone in ISD & registered with the Westchester County Board of Elections need not register separately with the School District. Anyone who voted in any ISD referendums any time after May 2007 is registered with the District and need not register again. Anyone who is not registered with the County and did not vote in any of the Irvington S.D. elections since May 2006 is not eligible to vote in the School District's May 17, 2011 Budget Vote or Board Member Election.

    Proposition IUFSD-1 School Budget Vote -- Irvington Union Free School District (Majority Approval Required)
    RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Irvington Union Free School District, Town of Greenburgh in the County of Westchester, New York be and hereby is authorized: To appropriate the sum set forth $50,324,892 for the fiscal year 2011-2012 and to levy the necessary tax therefore.
