Leadership Now Candidates Consider Future Sale of Ardrossan

By Susan E. Stern

Candidate for Director; Radnor Township School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Saturday evening's well-attended Radnor Conservancy event at Ardrossan underscores the value Radnor residents place on both open space and the future of Ardossan. The impending sale of the "crown jewel" of Radnor will impact the Township on many levels.

We believe that now is the time for the Radnor School Board to pay attention to and involve itself in future planning for Ardrossan. The sale will affect not only the Township, but also the School District directly. Its development (high versus low density) will have demographic impact, facility impact and tax revenue impact.

The School Directors should approach the Board of Commissioners now, before major sale and development plans are set, to understand and weigh carefully the various proposals for, and the implications of, Ardrossan's sale. Now is the time for a cooperative and open approach to planning for the future.

This type of pro-active leadership is one in which we believe most benefits the School District, and Radnor as a whole, and we would welcome it as a change of pace from the reactionary Board leadership we have seen to date.

Leadership Now! Candidates Doug Blazey, Susan Stern, Tsiwen Law, Eric Zajac
