Nate Much's Reasons for Running for school Board

By Nathan L "Nate" Much

Candidate for Director; Wallingford-Swarthmore School District; Region 1; 2 Year Term

This information is provided by the candidate
I am a 40 yr Nether Providence Resident. I am proud to have attended Wallingford-Swarthmore Schools from 1st thru 12th grades. I wish to keep the tradition and enrich the future for our children's higher learning in our school district. This can be made possible by new leadership and new ideas in our School Board.

I am committed to keeping residents informed by having open access to the school board. Having residents informed of the agenda on an ongoing basis will give the community a feeling of involvement over the issues.

I truly believe that fiscal responsibility is a key component for a successful school district. Better oversight of educational expenditures and creative financing will make our tax dollars go farther without sacrificing the quality of our children's education.

As a professional in Sales and Sales management, I have been appointed to numerous boards, taking action for my fellow co-workers and creating fresh and creative ideas for my employers. I have been responsible for budgeting and fiscal year business plans, cultivating sales teams and business relationships. I manage, teach, and head up negotiations for various business sectors. This experience will be key in making educated decisions for our children's education and for our tax payers peace of mind.

I am convinced that school safety is a huge part of being a responsible party on the School Board. I will offer creative measures to keep our schools safe and our children protected from improper influences. I have three children, one of whom attends Wallingford Elementary now. Being a parent, I know that bringing a sense of safety to my kids means everything to me.

This fall, I have been campaigning in all neighborhoods to introduce myself personally to families. I am committed to bringing the tradition of excellence back to our schools that we have enjoyed for many years. Please honor my efforts by voting for me on November 6,2007.

IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE
