POSITIONS HELD

Judge, Westchester County Court - Elected to a ten year term effective January 1, 1998. Superior court criminal trial judge. Presided over approximately 100 felony trials including many of the county's most notorious murder trials. Presiding Judge, Westchester County Mental Health Court effective September 2006.

Acting Justice of the Supreme Court, Ninth Judicial District, by designation, January 1, 2000 + Present. Presided over civil trials including personal injury, malpractice, contracts, intentional torts. Article 78 proceedings.

Senior City Court Judge, City Court of Mount Vernon, New York, 1989-1997 Handled a wide range of criminal and civil proceedings. Decision making responsibility for the operations of the court. The court had three full-time judges, a part-time associate judge, and approximately 20 employees.

City Court Judge, City of Mount Vernon, New York, 1987-1997 Elected November 1986. During this time, the Court had two full-time judges and one part-time associate handling approximately 5,000 criminal cases, 10,000 traffic cases, 100,000 parking violations, and 4,000 civil cases annually.

Corporation Counsel, City of Mount Vernon 1984-1986. The Corporation Counsel is the Charter attorney for the city, representing the city in all actions and proceedings. Practiced in all levels of the state court system. Handled Article 78 proceedings. Drafted local laws and ordinances. Served as legal advisor to the Mayor, Council, and department heads. Counsel on contracts, public bidding, and real estate transactions.
