A program to curtail McMansions in Town.Over development in The Town has been a source of frustration for our citizenry for some time. McMansions, put up by speculators with little or no regard for the existing surrounding neighbors needs to be better controlled by The Town. We should consider a "Contextual Zoning" law, similar to what is being used in parts of New York City to control development in some of their residential areas. A house would not be permitted to be constructed or expanded on a block if it was not within a certain percentage of the other houses on the block in height or volume. |
