Duo Pledge Support For Local Needs
Standing on the historic Bedford Village Green-in the heart of District 2-Westchester County Executive Andy Spano remarked, "for many years this area has been underserved by our County government. That is because we have not had someone of the quality of Pete Harckham." (watch the video)

Executive Spano led a team of County officials including Chair of the County Board of Legislators Bill Ryan, Majority Leader Marty Rogowski, and neighboring County Legislator Mike Kaplowitz, who traveled to District 2 to show their support for the northern district and for Pete Harckham's campaign.

"We need to bring together the northern part and the southern part of the County," said Executive Spano. "Pete Harckham can help do that."

Noting Pete's work towards providing affordable housing, a challenge across the whole county, Chairman Ryan remarked, "He has already faced some of the toughest issues. People benefit tremendously from the actions of the County government. Pete brings a track record and a real commitment to this race. And this district deserves a fully engaged legislator. We are so excited about Pete's candidacy."

Harckham thanked them all for their support and pledged to "rebuild the partnership between the towns and the county. But we do have to do this in a bipartisan fashion. Their concerns are our concerns." Standing among supporters in the warm September sun, Pete commented, "There is nothing but brighter days ahead for this district."
