Candidate for
Board Member; Glendale Unified School District

For more than 25 years I have been a child and public education advocate. My heart has been in our public schools and so have my children, and now, my grandchildren.

I believe that public education is the back bone of our democracy. I believe that every child can learn and it is the responsibility of your board of education to establish policies that insure that every child has the opportunity to learn. I am committed to maintaining class size reduction in K-3 and in our math and English classes in the ninth grade. I believe that the arts are a vitally important part of every child's education. I believe that athletics are the best at risk program we have and a fine arena in which to learn many of life's important lessons.

It has been a privilege to be a part of the GUSD Board of Education for the last 5 years and I would be honored to continue to serve in this role.
