EDDIE ROSE served on the Laguna Niguel City Council from 1994 - 1998. During his tenure on the City Council, EDDIE consistently opposed special interest projects that would adversely impact the quality of life for Laguna Niguel residents. EDDIE vigorously opposed a commercial airport at El Toro, and was one of the first to suggest a Great Park concept, which eventually was approved by the voters.

EDDIE ROSE was one of the earliest supporters of Proposition 13. EDDIE is a staunch taxpayers' rights, homeowners' rights, seniors' rights, victims' rights, and consumers' rights advocate. EDDIE has also been a strong supporter of campaign finance reform, and has led the fight in Orange County to expose government waste and political corruption. Following the Orange County bankruptcy debacle, EDDIE joined with numerous concerned citizens to help defeat the ill-advised 1/2-cent sales tax proposal (Measure 'R'). In 1996, EDDIE wrote the ballot argument in support of term limits, a county-wide measure which passed overwhelmingly.

EDDIE ROSE is a member of the Sierra Club, the Nature Conservancy, and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), and is a strong believer in the need for the preservation of open space, natural habitats, and wetlands areas. EDDIE has worked with various groups and individuals throughout Orange County to stop the cost-prohibitive and habitat-destructive Foothill-South Toll Road extension, and to halt the proliferation of urban sprawl in south Orange County.

EDDIE ROSE is a registered Professional Quality Engineer (PQE) in the State of California and holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Administration from Pepperdine University. EDDIE is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and served in the aerospace industry as a Quality and Reliability Engineer/Manager for over 25 years. EDDIE also holds a teaching credential in the California Community Colleges system.

EDDIE ROSE is also a Diamond Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), having amassed over 6000 master points, and was the leading money winner on both the 2001 and 2005 Bridge Professional Tour (BPT). EDDIE is recognized as one of the country's leading bridge players, and is listed in the current edition of the Encyclopedia of Bridge under "Leading Bridge Personalities".
