Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Clemente

I was born in Fullerton,CA. I moved to San Clemente in 1949 when my father began his first teaching job at Las Palmas Elementary School.

I attended Las Palmas K through 5, Concordia; 6 through 8. and graduated from Capistrano Union High School; San Clemente did not have a high school then. I then attended Fullerton College.

My father, Truman Benedict, is a San Clemente educational and civic leader. He served as Superintendent of Schools and was honored to have an elementary school named for him. He also served as mayor of San Clemente.

My mother, Betty Benedict, was a founder of the Coral Keys Thrift Shop which has given thousands of dollars to local schools. A Betty Benedict Memorial Scholarship is given every year to a graduating senior from San Clemente High School.

I am married to Don Jeisy, retired Lt.Col. USMC; 1964 Olympian; school administrator, teacher, and coach.

I have two sons: Court Morgan and his wife Sonja live in Forster Ranch with their 7 year old son Xander; Russ Morgan and his wife Christina live in North San Clemente with their l year old son Brayden and another on the way. Our beautiful granddaughter Kylie lives with her parents Chet and Teresa Jeisy also in San Clemente.

People choose to move to San Clemente. I want our children's children to feel just as we do today, that San Clemente is the best place in the world to live.
