Marsha (Arriola)Morris was born and raised in Orange, California. Being the youngest of nine children, Marsha learned early that through education and hard work one could realize the American Dream. Coming from modest means, Marsha began working odd jobs at an early age. While working, she never neglected her education and went on to attend California State University Fullerton, UCLA and UCI. She received her bachelor's degree and worked as a teacher for over 10 years. Marsha has had experience teaching at both the elementary and secondary level (teaching various subjects from Physical Science to English). She also worked at an adult school teaching ESL in Auto Mechanics and Electronic Assembly. She also was a teacher for Rancho Santiago College District.

While working as a High School teacher in Santa Ana and Garden Grove, Marsha had the opportunity and challenge of working with gang members and at risk students. She feels blessed to have worked with children from various ethnic backgrounds and socio-economic levels. She got to see first hand the stumbling blocks that disadvantaged children are faced with.

Morris presently lives in Irvine with her husband Patrick of almost 20 years and their four children. She currently does business in Real Estate Investments and keeps actively involved and informed with the economic situation. She is also a licensed Realtor, and enjoys helping others to find not only a property, but a place they can call home.

Morris believes in fighting for the issues that she has strong convictions about. She is not afraid to voice her opinion, especially if it is to save the life or health of a child or fellow American. She has gone to Washington D.C. on various occasions to support her causes. She recently went to Capitol Hill along with hundreds of other people, who also went to rally against the use of mercury in vaccines, and to meet with their various Senators and Congressman.

Morris has a strong belief that integrity and honesty needs to be brought back to politics and the government. She is very much against politicians who have their seats bought for them by giant corporations. She feels that they often end up voting in favor of the corporations that endorsed them, rather than voting for the interests of their constituents. She believes that a representative needs to be a voice for the people! She also believes that government agencies need to be accountable for their actions or even inactions in some circumstances.

In addition, Morris is a person who is not afraid to face challenges. She has displayed her brave spirit when she was seen performing stand-up comedy at places like the Irvine Improv and the Comedy Store in LA.

Most of all, Marsha is a moral person who possesses integrity and honesty, and feels that the government should also be run with these same values. She is supported by many of her friends, business acquaintances, and community members, who have said that they would be proud to have someone like her representing the 48th Congressional District!
