SMART VOTER IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY

The November 2, 1999 election marks the first time that Smart Voter has been implemented in Los Angeles County. A large number of jurisdictions (over 80) are holding local elections. Concentrating on areas where the League of Women Voters is able to provide volunteer support, we have chosen to target certain areas as testing grounds for fuller Smart Voter implementation in the future.

Based on what we are learning in November 1999, we expect to provide fuller coverage for the March 7, 2000 statewide primary. Please come back and check us out in February 2000!
